Acton Elementary 1st graders hip hopped their way to the musical Madagascar!

Thursday morning on 3/29/18 about 140 excited Acton Elementary first graders loaded the Granbury ISD buses for a magical field trip adventure to Casa Manana!

They were anxious to watch the performance at Casa Manana based on DreamWorks new hit movie Madagascar!

The kids joined the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip hip Hippo and, of course, the much loved, plotting penguins as they bound onto Casa’s stage in the musical adventure of a lifetime.

The Musical adventure follows all of your favorite friends as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar.

The play seemed like a huge hit with the students as it was all they could talk about while skipping out of “The Best Theatre In Texas”.

Dutch branch park in Benbrook was the next destination to let the first graders run out some of their energy and grab a bite to eat.

Parents, teachers, and students unloaded at the pavilion to eat lunch while enjoying the beaming rays of sunshine on their faces.

Laughter filled the playground while students ran with joy and played on the huge castle and robot. Other’s had fun while using their imagination by playing hide and seek, king and queens, and classic tag.

Apparently an excellent way to end the school week before a 4 day weekend. What a memorable field trip for our Acton elementary students, teachers, and parents.
