Investigation Underway, Cresson explosion.

CRESSON, Texas (AP) – The Tri-Chem industries in Cresson, a chemical plant, is complying with local officials and the damaged building was allowed to burn itself out prior to authorities going in and looking for the missing employee determined as 27-year-old Dylan Mitchell.  Monday, crews donned in hazmat suits were able to enter part of the building and began the assessment and searched for the missing employee.

The plant is being protected to make certain no one trespasses and state as well as federal environmental agencies and also workplace authorities are waiting to aid regional authorities.

Cresson Mayor stated Sunday that problems at the 15,000-square-foot (1,400-square-meter) Tri-Chem Industries plant are “just too hot” and “just too dangerous.” He states rainfalls Saturday evening worsened the condition of the scene, disturbing chemicals as well as acids at the site 25 miles (40 kilometers) southwest of Fort Worth.
